Story behind the brand

When Laura approached me about the idea of hosting an event that connected all women’s groups in the City, I immediately thought, “What a great idea!” She asked me to work on coming up with a name and a slogan for the event. As I started working on different ideas, the words “Connect the Dots” literally stuck in my head. I called Laura and told her that I couldn’t get “Connect the Dots” out of my head and what did she think of it as the event name? She said she loved it and from there the whole concept for the branding for the event was born.
Next came the tag line, “Bringing Women in Business Together“ and the slogan, “An event connecting leading women’s networking groups.” I really had a vision of what the event should be in terms of a downtown, business chic atmosphere that would offer women a different kind of experience and make it stand out from all the other networking events out there. Of course, it has grown into much more than I ever imagined!
Now, the incredible women who have become involved in making this event a success are an inspiration to me already and building relationships with them far outweighs the time and effort I’ve put into Connect the Dots – which is exactly how I hope everyone who attends the event will feel about the people they meet and network with at the event!
