When we started brainstorming what we could do to create an optimal networking event we decided to start with what holds us back from connecting with other people.

We came up with fear of judgement, intimidation, confidence, belief that we are different and have nothing in common which all boils down to ego. So we wanted to create an event that strips us of our egos.

Each morning at my house a transformation occurs as I go from being in my Pj’s making lunches for my family and almost egoless with my family to a business woman in a professional suit touched up with make-up and ready to take on the day.

Most people would never imagine that the night before I was up with my sick child or that I had to wipe spit up off the shoulder of my suit because there was no time to change as I rushed out the door because I seem so well put together.

So we thought what if everyone were to come in their pJ’s? They would be comfortable and egoless and what if we had all of the things that women love like chocolate and music and laughter and pampering wouldn’t that be an extraordinary night. Wouldn’t that be a wonderful meeting place where memories are created…

When you think back to when you have really connected with girlfriends there is usually a sleepover involved and PJ’s.

In order to be successful in business you need to develop stong relationships. Those are created when you make a connection, one that is at personal level, through an experience in this case a PJ party!!
